I choose three sites that I thought would be great resources for the school library and sites that school staff would find useful for lesson and curriculum development.

Google Lit Trips is a project using Google Earth to create an immersive 3D literary field trips where students virtually become traveling companions with characters in stories commonly taught in grades kindergarten through high school.

Discovery Education offers free virtual field trips with companion guides, hand on learning activities that connect to BC Curriculum in Science, Social Studies, Math STEM and ADST. The platform also offers professional learning opportunities for teach to incorporate the products across all subjects and grade levels.

OWL Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society- Virtual Field Trip https://www.owlrehab.org/

Owl Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society is a non-profit organization in Delta, BC that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of orphaned raptors and houses injured owl and raptors and to educating the public on the conservation and importance of them. OWL virtual field trips for school programs. A virtual field trip 1 hour session involves a meet and greet with two Raptor Ambassadors, educational programming about raptors that connects with the BC Science curriculum, and a Q&A with OWL’s Educator.
