Purpose of PLN
A PLN or Personal Learning Network is where people of similar interests’ network and share resources to support ongoing learning. PLN consist of relationship between individuals where the goal is an enhancement of mutual learning. Through this relationship of mutual learning members are seeking information, gathering information, and sharing information in the form of feedback, insights, shared documents, making connections and contacts. A personal learning network can consist of a variety of platforms where educators can make connections to build tips and tools on diverse subjects.
I do not have a personalized learning plan and I have not heard of one before, so I had a lot to learn.
The first three steps I will take to create my focused PLN
1. Explore the goals I have for my PLN
2. Research online networks
3. Join an online community that supports my PLN goals

Hi Lisa,
I agree with Kirstie in that I found your introduction and beginning of your blog post about PLN's and the purpose to be very helpful. I am curious if you have an area of professional learning that you might want to focus on and will help determine your goals? Thank you for sharing your blog post!

Hi Lisa,
I love your explanation on PLNs. It was actually useful to me to cement my understanding. I am wondering about when you said you don't have a "personalized learning plan". Was this a stylistic wording choice or did you mean professional learning network?
